Texas Forensic Science Commission
Erika Ziemak, of Aledo, is the Director of Special Projects at the Center for Human Identification at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Erika received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Clarkson University and a Master's Degree in Forensic Science from Pace University. She served as the Quality Director of the Houston Forensic Science Center and has served as a DNA analyst at both the Nassau County Medical Examiner's Office and the Office of Chief Medical Examiner. She is a member of the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors (ASCLD), the Association of Forensic Quality Assurance Managers (AFQAM), and the Human Forensic Biology subcommittee within the Organization of Scientific Areas Committees (OSAC). She has also been appointed to serve on the Forensic Science Standards Board (FSSB) Implementer Task Group within the Organization of Scientific Areas Committees.
